One Woman’s Quest for the Perfect Twitter T-shirt

Username On Beach[tweetmeme source=”pagetx”]Knowing full well that my husband of nearly 12 years would not buy me a Twitter @username t-shirt for Christmas, I began my quest for the perfect one myself.  He would say it was silly, or worse <gasp!> geeky.  But you and I know that owning the perfect Twitter @username t-shirt is a mark of excellence in the social media scene.  A badge of honor.  But I digress.

Case in point: I saw Sheila Scarborough wearing one.  Y’all know Sheila’s cool, and only geeky in the most wonderful of ways.  In fact, I blame Sheila for my insatiable need to have a Twitter @username shirt of my very own.  I’ve secretly coveted hers since she wore it at #SoMeT.  Damn that Sheila!

My quest began this afternoon.  I perused the websites where people can make custom shirts like Zazzle, AtMe Shirt, TwitGear, and Threadless.  Oh sure, there were dozens of Twitter t-shirts.  All very cute.  But none of them matched the mental image of my perfect shirt.
